Celebrate our Similarities (CoS) is a project developed at the grassroots level with the aim to make a difference through actions, activities, media and events.
COS is about recognising as humans we share the same priorities as we have done throughout time such as our need for Air, Food, Personal Peace, Water and Well-being.
COS has an application pending with the Charities Commission to become a registered Community Incorporated Organisation (CIO).
A small team of Trustees are set to govern COS, with a wider COS Action Team of volunteers who feel passionately about Leicester and its potential to become a force for change especially due to it being recognised as the most diversely populated City in the UK ( as per Census 2011) , has a history of contributing good things to the world such as DNA profiling, Richard the Third, the Largest Festival of Light in the West as well as our DMU holding International HUB Status for the UNs Sustainable Development Goal 16 – Peace, Justice and Strong Intitutions.
This website will provide a platform and the opportunity for good ideas and good practice examples to be accessible to different communities locally and wider by providing information in different languages ( as far as possible) to help make a difference.
